Hong Kong Property Market Outlook - Stagnation or Revival?

The elevated interest rates have impacted on Hong Kong property market, prompting the government to ease its curbs to boost housing market in the latest budget speech. Could new-home sales recovery remain sustainable to support home-price rebound? Both office and retail markets have experienced headwinds. Are there any signs of recovery for leasing and investment demand? In this CPD, Rosanna and Patrick will share their views on Hong Kong real estate market as well as property companies and REITs' earnings outlook over the rest of this year.

Speakers’ Biography:

Rosanna Tang

Executive Director,

Rosanna Tang has joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2022 as the Head of Research and Head of Business Development Services, Hong Kong, overseeing both the research and marketing function of the firm.

Rosanna has over 18 years’ experience in the real estate markets across Hong Kong, Greater Bay Area and Asia Pacific. With her profound understanding of the property market and research background from both buy-side and sell-side experiences, Rosanna has led numerous pioneer thought leadership research papers and client-orientated initiatives.

Rosanna graduated from Peking University with a Bachelor of Law degree majoring in Political and Public Administration, with a double degree in Sociology. She then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Michigan.

 

Patrick Wong, CFA, FRICS

Head of Bloomberg Intelligence Hong Kong

Senior Analyst – Asia Pacific Real Estate

Patrick Wong is the Senior Analyst covering Asia Pacific real estate sector in Bloomberg Intelligence, the research arm of Bloomberg L.P. He is also heading Bloomberg Intelligence in Hong Kong office with over 60 research professionals providing investment research on equity, credit, strategy and ESG.

Patrick has over 20 years of working experience in property sector. Prior to joining Bloomberg Intelligence, he was a sell-side equity research analyst with BNP Paribas. Patrick started his career as a quantity surveyor and worked in real estate research with various institutions including JLL and Link REIT.

Patrick has a Master of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Surveying from the University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Science in Information Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He also holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
